“I’m a multi-dimensional individual right now.”

Keenan Smith, 23, Renaissance man

He’s an aspiring Olympic athlete. A full-time student at North Carolina A&T State University. And the Chief Operating Officer of Little Brown Box Works, a local technology startup run out of the co-work space HQ Greensboro.

keenan_smith2Every day, Keenan Smith, 23, juggles business meetings, athletic training and homework.

“I want to help as many people as I can, and I can’t do that if I don’t get up every day and bust my butt,” Keenan says.

Keenan believes ideas and technology can change the world – and that Greensboro could be the spot where people do that.

Little Brown Box Works, an imaginative group of A&T students, has developed mobile apps like Aggiesland, an application that connects Aggies to each other by way of public transit, events and more.

Keenan says the team is not limited to creating mobile apps. They plan to create technological solutions of all kinds to help solve issues for space exploration, the military and biomedicine.

Meanwhile, he’s got his sights on the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

“I’m a multi-dimensional individual right now.”
